August 2026 Kendama Drops: 111 New Models, 95 Restocks, and 85 Already Gone
August 2026 brought 111 new kendama models from 24 makers, according to DAMA PIG's live catalog tracker. That is up from 107 new models across 18 makers in July 2026 and 90 models across 15 makers in June 2026. The catch: 85 of those 111 new models had already sold out again by September 7, when only 14.3% of complete kendamas were in stock site-wide.
Restocks told a similar story. Shops brought back 95 previously released models, but only 13 of those were still available. The other 82 sold through and vanished again. If you are shopping for kendama in September, the lesson from August is simple: buy it when you see it.
New Kendama Drops in August 2026 by the Numbers
August was the biggest month of the summer by volume and the fastest by sell-through. The 111 new models came from 24 makers, six more makers than July managed, and 85 of them were gone by September 7. That is roughly 77% of the month's output, against July, where 70 of 107 new models were still sitting in stock six weeks later.
Prices drifted up. The median new model cost $49.99 in August, compared to $45.00 in July. The spread: 6 models under $25, 19 between $25 and $39, 50 between $40 and $59, 31 between $60 and $89, and 5 at $90 or above. The cheapest new listing was $19.99 and the priciest was $120.00.
Cereal Kendama and Kimball Kendama tied for the busiest maker at 21 new models each, followed by Da Originz at 13, Sweets Kendamas at 10, and Destroy All Tamas and Occult Kendamas at 7 apiece. On restocks, Sweets was in a league of its own with 37, ahead of Cereal at 11, Winner Kendamas at 10, KROM Kendama at 8, and Prism Kendama at 6.
Notable Drops
ORIGINZ X KOSMIC KENS from Occult Kendamas hit $120.00, the most expensive new model of the month. It sold out. Occult also dropped five separate Kosmic Ken colorways at $60.00 each, Kosmic Ken #1 through #5, all of which sold out too, plus an Occult X Cereal X BroKen squad collab at $50.00 that is also gone.
Garage Sale BIGLET from Kimball Kendama went for $100.00. It was part of a wider Garage Sale series that included the Garage Sale DAO Jumbo at $105.00 and Garage Sale Scarce X Occult at $115.00. Kimball ran 21 new listings this month, tied for the most of any maker, and most were one-off garage sale pieces priced between $25 and $115.
Engraved Hand Painted Mountains Tama - Absolute Clear from Destroy All Tamas is $64.99 and was still in stock, one of seven new Destroy All Tamas listings this month.
Tribute Kendama - 5 Hole Ball - Pink - Damaged Packaging from Kendama USA is $19.99, the cheapest new listing of the month, and it was still in stock. The damaged box is the whole reason it is priced where it is.
KenDrama Shape from Cereal Kendama, sold through Kendama Senses, is $48.00 and was still in stock. Cereal was the busiest maker of the month alongside Kimball, with 21 new models total.
Shunya Pro Model from Active Kendama came in at $60.00 and, unusually for a pro model this month, was still available.
Brand Activity Breakdown
Cereal Kendama dropped 21 new models in August, tied with Kimball for most active maker. Prices ran from $24.99 for the Matcha Berry Tama to $72.00 for Sea Salt Ube in the KenDrama Shape. Most of Cereal's new SnapTex Tama colorways, sold through Kendama Depot, sold out fast. The Summit Shape and KenDrama Shape pieces sold through Kendama Senses fared better, with five of six still in stock including Sea Salt Ube at $36.00 and Summit Shape at $48.00. Cereal also logged 11 restocks, mostly Trinity and Rethink Shape colorways, and every one of them sold out again.
Kimball Kendama matched Cereal at 21 new models, almost entirely through its recurring Garage Sale drops. Prices ranged from $20.00 for a B-grade Fly Trap Sticky Tama up to $115.00 for Scarce X Occult. Every single Kimball listing this month sold out, including the two new Maple K1 and K2 Ken Version 3 pieces at $40.00 each.
Da Originz, sold through Kendama Depot, listed 13 new colorways at a flat $69.69 each. Seven of the 13 were still in stock, including Amethyst, Electro Wave, Goon Goblin, and Nature Green. Da Originz also put out a Maple NU Ken at $49.99, which sold out.
Sweets Kendamas put out 10 new models in August, from $24.99 for Experimental Ken 1 to $64.99 for the Nate Wilcox Pro Mod. Nine of the 10 sold out, the exception being the Ken Only Turbo Shape in maple at $29.99. Sweets also dominated restocks with 37, the most of any brand this month, though only a handful stuck around: Classic 5 Stripe - Dougie, Poncho, and Slushy at $26.99 each, plus Sport Stripe - Avalanche and Home Team at the same price.
Winner Kendamas listed three new models: the Sweetskedamas X CKO 2026 collab at $55.00 and two gecko paint tamas, Black rock and Blue ore, at $45.00 each. All three sold out. Winner also logged 10 restocks, mostly older gecko paint colorways at $43.00 to $45.00 that sold out again just as fast.
KROM Kendama dropped the TOTO PRO MOD at $60.00, which sold out, and had 8 restocks. Three of those were still available: LAMBO KEN and SLAYDAWG 4 KEN at $40.00 each, plus Strogo Neapolitan Strawberry, also $40.00.
JAC KENDAMA released four new models, two Erraticsquirrel x JAC collabs at $64.99 and two ken-only shapes at $44.99. All four sold out, and the Tani Shape collab and Core Shape ken both restocked and sold out a second time.
Sundune kept prices low with three new pieces: Peak tamas at $25.00, Star Map ash tama at $33.00, and Lunar Lander at $30.00. Peak and Star Map were still in stock, Lunar Lander was gone.
Su Lab, sold through Kendama Senses and Kendama Depot, had two new Friction Clear Tama colorways at $54.99 and $77.00. Both were still in stock, a rare clean sweep for the month. A third Su Lab piece, the B Friction Clear Tama at $54.99, restocked and sold out again.
Big Cup Fast Hand ran five new models between $20.00 and $45.00, all sold out, and the CASEY at $27.00 came back once and went again.
Mugen Musou listed two pieces: a Yume Kendama Limited Edition at $52.00 that ran as a pre-order and sold out, and a tama-only MUKU in keyaki at $24.00 that was still available.
Smaller runs filled in the rest. Kendama Co put out Black and Orange Stripe Shenzhu colorways at $45.00, both gone. OKendama added a Splatter Revo Glaze in Pearl Night Blue at $49.35, still in stock, and restocked the New Candy7 Black/Silver AntiSkid at $26.20, also still available. Sol Kendamas released a 12 Year All Pro Pro Model at $79.99, sold out. Question Kendamas had the Blue Ridge Battle Mod at $44.99, sold out. Grain Theory listed a GT-3 Raw Maple Sword at $33.33, sold out. Kendama Depot added a house-line Maple Shape A Ken at $29.99, still available, and Ozora sold an Akimoto ReShape through Depot at $64.99, gone.
One-Offs and Secondhand
Destroy All Tamas dropped seven new listings in August, all engraved or hand-painted pieces on clear coat, priced from $40.99 to $64.99. Two were still in stock: Engraved Hand Painted Mountains Tama at $64.99 and Engraved Mountains Tama at $47.99. The B-grade versions at $40.99 both sold out. If you want a one-off piece without paying full custom-shop prices, this is where to look.
Kimball's Garage Sale series works the same way from the other direction. Pieces like the Garage Sale Brown Town early SeaTaQ prototype at $25.00 or the Garage Sale OG blue stripe "natty" zen at $40.00 are secondhand and prototype stock, not new production. Every one of them sold out this month.
Trends and Patterns
- Median price climbed. August's median new-model price was $49.99, up from $45.00 in July 2026.
- The $40 to $59 band dominates. Of 111 new models, 50 fell in that range, nearly half the month's output.
- Sell-through accelerated sharply. 85 of 111 new drops, about 77%, were sold out again by early September. In July, 70 of 107 new models were still in stock six weeks after release.
- Restocks did not fix availability. As of September 7, 82 of the 95 restocked models were gone again and 13 remained, and only 14.3% of complete kendamas on the site were in stock.
- Kendama Depot and Kendama Senses carried a lot of the volume as reseller channels for Cereal Kendama, Da Originz, Ozora, and Su Lab. Those shops stock the goods, the makers above build them, and the counts here credit the maker.

The cheapest way into a new kendama this month came from Kendama USA at $19.99 for a damaged-box Tribute, still in stock as of September 7. On the other end, Occult's $120.00 ORIGINZ X KOSMIC KENS was the single priciest new drop, and it sold out.
Back in Stock and Restocks
Sweets Kendamas restocked 37 models in August, more than any other brand, but only a handful stayed available. The Classic 5 Stripe and Sport Stripe colorways at $26.99 were the survivors. The Starter line in eight colors at $29.99, the Radar series at $26.99, and the Tracker colorways at $44.99 all came back and sold out again.
Cereal Kendama restocked 11 models, all of which sold out again. Winner Kendamas restocked 10, with the color shark shape ken only S3 at $29.00 still available. Prism Kendama restocked 6 ken-only shapes at $42.00 each, and only Blondu's PC Shape Ken was still in stock. Ozora restocked its REShape 5 lineup, where the REShape 5 Blue/White Tama at $39.99 was the one piece from that run still available.
Kendama USA brought back four models, including the Nic Stodd Pro Model and the Zach Magnuson V4 at $59.99 each, and all four were gone again. Lotus Kendamas restocked the ET Pro Mod at $60.00, the Lotus Flow at $55.00, and the Ryoga Champ Mod 2 at $60.00, all sold out again. Erratic Squirrel brought back a Goblin Ken at $14.99 and a Kitchen Complete Set-up at $39.99, both gone. Quad Kendamas restocked the Maple Fate at $44.99, also gone. Kendama Israel is the outlier: its Natural Asanoha Rhino Clear Tama at $59.99 restocked and was still on the shelf.
What to Watch Next Month
The pattern to carry into September is that restocks are not keeping up. Sweets alone put 37 models back on shelves and 32 of them sold through again, so a restock notification is worth acting on the same day. The steadier bets as of September 7 were the pieces that had survived a month in stock: Da Originz colorways at $69.69, Su Lab's Friction Clear tamas, and the Cereal shapes moving through Kendama Senses.
